Kim Jong Un Makes Report on Work of WPK Central Committee at Its 7th Congress
Imperishable exploits for Korea’s reunification
In
his historic report on the review of the work of the Central Committee
of the Workers' Party of Korea at its 7th Congress, supreme leader Kim Jong Un lavished praise on President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who made great contributions to Korea’s reunification.
Whenever
hurdles and difficulties lie in the way of national reunification owing
to vicious obstruction of the anti-reunification elements within and
without, President Kim Il Sung
pulled through difficulties by advancing bold and reasonable proposals
starting from the spirit of national independence. He remarkably
enhanced the Korean nation’s reunification will with his ardent
patriotism and lofty virtue and opened a heyday of nationwide movement
for reunification, he noted.
The
President, until his last moment of his revolutionary career, made
public the ten-point program for the great unity of the whole nation and
worked heart and soul to knit the Korean nation into a united force. He
had initiated inter-Korean summit and exhausted every possibility to
carry out it, he stated.
Chairman Kim Jong Il
formulated the three principles of national reunification, the proposal
for founding a Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo and the ten-point
program for the great unity of the whole nation, all advanced by the
President, as the three charters for Korea’s reunification and put
forward outstanding ideas and lines including the five-point policy for
great national unity to illuminate the road ahead of the Korean nation
in its reunification movement, he noted.
Chairman Kim Jong Il
had frustrated a new war move of the anti-reunification elements at
home and abroad to lay a sure foundation for the country’s independent
reunification by bolstering up the DPRK’s national power with his Songun
politics.
The noble patriotic will for reunification of Chairman Kim Jong Il
and his bold decision resulted in two rounds of north-south summit and
the adoption of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4
declaration, its action program, guided by the idea of By Our Nation
Itself, the first of their kind in the history of national division.
This was an epochal event that provided a historic milestone for
independent reunification and opened up a turning phase for national
reunification, he noted.
Thanks
to the wise guidance of the great leaders, the cause of national
reunification could advance along the orbit of national independence for
decades despite the complicated situation where the separatist forces
at home and abroad got all the more frantic in their moves, and the
driving force of national reunification could steadily grow stronger to
prevail over the anti-reunification forces, he said.
All
achievements won in the movement for national reunification during the
past are brilliant victory of prominent idea of independent
reunification and rational proposals put forward by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and proud fruition born of tireless guidance of the President and the Chairman, he stressed.
